The rocks on the beach at Bingie Bingie Point in the Eurobodalla National Park on the New South Wales coast comprise two igneous rock types. The lighter grey rocks contain a magnetic fabric called tonalite, the darker ones are gabroic diorite, they are collectively known as the Bingie Bingie suite.
These rocks were formed from a volcanic eruption which cooled on the surface around 400 million years ago.
The area, renowned for its scenic beauty, is a favored holiday destination.
