Ambition
In the creek behind our house we have over 40 types of birds that come to visit. A number of them fish in the creek. This Pied Cormorant caught a fish which he then attempted, for ten minutes, to swallow – but couldn’t as it was too large. He finally flew away leaving the other birds to devour it. There are no winners when one’s ambition is too great. The green of victory against the red of defeat applies to them both.
