Wading in the Creek
In the creek behind our house over 40 types of birds come to visit. Our most frequent visitors are Swamp Hens. Purple, green and blue feathers with striking red beaks and huge feet allowing them to walk on the water-lillies. While they are handsome to look at, they are skittish and when frightened squawk horribly as they fly to the other side of the creek, dragging their large feet behind them.
Watercolour on Arches 140 lbs / 300 gsm paper
Framed painting size: 50 x 68 cm.
